The latest version of the ACTA agreement on intellectual property enforcement has been leaked to the public by French activist organization La Quadrature du Net.
Well done! Here is the text.
It’s a disgrace that we have an EU Commission that stubbornly refuses to live up to its obligations to keep the Parliament immediately and fully informed at all stages of the procedure, as stipulated in the Treaty on the Functioning of the European Union.
It is completely unacceptable that citizens and Members of the European Parliament have to rely on unofficial leaks to get information that should have been public from day one.
But at least we now have the text so that we can analyse it, instead of having to rely on vague oral statements by a Commission determined to flaunt its disrespect for both the Parliament and the Treaties.
